“Your Shoes Are Far Too Small”

We all walk in shoes too small for us.
Carl Jung

When I read this quote it just went off in my spirit. It was as if God was saying to me, “Your shoes are far too small. You need to stretch, grow, and expand yourself to walk in the shoes I have designed for you.”

I’ve since shared this quote with others and they seem to react the same way. It seems we all aspire to do bigger, greater things for God and to honor his purposes in our lives. And yet, we put limits on our expectations, and hold back from dreaming dreams that are “too big” for us.

But isn’t that the point? Everything we aspire to is already too big for us! That’s what keeps us helplessly dependent on God. And that’s when things begin to get exciting.

Ephesians 3:20 says it perfectly…

God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!  (MSG)

Whatever you have imagined or hoped for, I believe God has far more in mind. He has plans and strategies to connect us with other big dreamers and to multiply our efforts. We just need to have the faith to take bigger steps in the right direction.
